Agents

Agents play a crucial role within Remit Milky, as the system requires the association of agent IDs with each transaction initiated.

When updating rates, it is essential to specify the corresponding agent, indicating that rate adjustments are tied to specific agents. Agents are now categorized into two distinct models referred to as channels:

  1. Agent Model

  2. Online Model

To elucidate the disparity between the agent and online models:

In the agent channel, main agents are established, and their role involves generating business for the company through sub-agents. In essence, the agent model entails the establishment of branches where customers visit and engage sub-agents to conduct transactions. The system meticulously records the affiliation of each transaction with the respective sub/main agent. Remit Milky facilitates an agent portal, allowing agents to initiate transactions through this platform.

Contrastingly, in the online channel, the company provides a digital platform comprising mobile applications and a web portal. Here, customers have the capability to directly initiate transactions without intermediary agents. This model operates independently of agent involvement.

If you want to open any sending corridor, you must create at least one main agent for that country.
