Rules
Rules play a crucial role in determining rates. Consider them as the second layer of the rate configuration process. Once you update rates in the "auto rate" section, all associated rules will be applied to those rates, and customers will be able to view them.
Currently, there are three types of rules:
Spread
Admin Fee
Agent Fee
Spread: This involves adding an additional margin to the rates updated in the "auto rates" section, in accordance with the specified rule.
Admin Fee: When you intend to collect fees from customers, you need to incorporate an admin fee rule. Multiple slabs can be added, and we will discuss this further when creating an admin fee rule.
Agent Fee: Similar to the admin fee, the agent fee functions for the agent channel, while the admin fee pertains to the online channel.

How to create a rule?
In the image above, you can observe a button labeled "Add Rule" in the top right corner. Simply click on this button, and a new page will open.

I will create a rule for the type "Spread" specifically for Nigeria. I can add additional filters, such as specifying the sending method as Debit Card, if needed, but let's keep it simple for now.
In the first input, enter the desired name. For the channel, select "Online." In the next input, choose the agent (representing the sending country). We can skip the Sending Method and Receiving Method for the time being. In the Type input, select "Spread." If you leave the Zone input blank, the rule will apply to all receiving countries. If you want to apply it to a specific country, choose that country. Currency and payer details are optional. Each rule has an expiry date. Once the rule is created, it will redirect to the Slabs section, where we need to set the amounts.
If you examine the attached image, you'll notice that I have added the rule ranges from zero to fifty million. If a customer creates a transaction within this range, the system will apply a zero margin in the rate.

Please note that if you establish a rule for spreading, you should include only one slab.
You can repeat this step for the admin fee; just choose the type as "admin fee." In the admin fee section, you can add multiple slabs.
Please note that you must create at least one rule for spread and one rule for the admin fee; otherwise, the customer will be unable to view the rates and admin fees.
